VDB

**Syntax:** **VDB( C, S, L, S, E)**

*C* = the initial cost of the asset

*S* = salvage value (the value at the end of the depreciation)

*L* = life (the total number of periods over which the
asset is being depreciated)

*S* = start period (first period in the calculation)

*E* = end period (last period in the calculation)

**VDB** returns the depreciation of an asset between two
specific period using the fixed-declining balance method.

**Examples:**

**VDB**(10000, 500, 120, 2, 4) = 319.6289
