PV

**Syntax:** **PV( P, R, N)**

*P* = periodic payment

*R* = interest range

*N* = number of periods

**PV** returns the present value of an annuity given
periodic payment *P*, interest rate *R* and *N* number of
periods. The function is given by:

**Examples:**

**PV**(360, RATE, 4) = 1116.88, where RATE is a named cell = 11%

**PV**(V10, C6, 5) = 41001.97, where C6 = 7% and V10 = 10000

**PV**(4500, 0.05, -1) = Error - ``Period'' must be an integer 0
