HMEAN, HARMEAN

Syntax: HMEAN(argumentlist)
  HARMEAN(argumentlist)

argumentlist = any combination of numbers, cells, or ranges where each value is not equal to 0

HMEAN returns the harmonic mean of its arguments. Blank cells and cells containing strings are not counted.

The function is given by:

\begin{displaymath}
\frac{n}{\sum_{i=1}^N 1/a_i}
\end{displaymath}

HARMEAN is a synonym for HMEAN.

Examples:

HMEAN(F10..F15) = 3.0434783, where F10..F14 = 2, 2, 3, 6, and 7

HARMEAN(C1..C5) = Error - HARMEAN, operand equal to 0, where C4 = 0
